Gamers' Lounge
Welcome to the Gamer's Lounge, for lovers of all kinds of games!
Do you enjoy saving the world, shooting zombies, creating massive diseases to wipe out humanity, epic adventures across time/space (and sometimes dimensions), or saving lives with fancy equipment?
If you said "Yeah, sure" to any of these, then this is the place for you!
What are you playing now? What's your favorite game of all time? Or of the last year? What's coming up that you're excited about? What game do you have memorized backwards and forwards?
Go, talk, discuss, play!

Shooting zombie, check. Pulverizing and infecting the world, check. Saving lives with fancy equipment, just done that.
So I guess I fit in here.
Fav games so far -- Dragon Quest 8 and the original Pokemon games.
Games I'm excited about -- Guild Wars 2. It needs to come out sooner than 2011.

Looks to be better than GW. I played some of... I forget which one I got. But it really didn't hold my attention for long. But that looks really pretty. I like the different races.
I'm obsessing over Persona so much right now. FFX is my "know it front-to-back and back-to-front" game, but I certainly can't pick a fave - there are so many that I've enjoyed!

I'm playing March of the Black Queen, Knight of Lodis, and Legend of Legaia. If any of you actually know what those are, you obviously win. Very hard. So hard.

Don't know those... sorry. Except maybe the last one. Sounds familiar.
I'm really interested in some new games that are coming out, like Eternal Sonata and others, especially since there's a chance I will be getting an Xbox 360 for Christmas.

Been doing a bit on Fallout 3, too, now that I finally found someone with a copy. xD

What was your first playthrough?
I played a male elven mage my first go, and now I'm playing a female elven warrior.

First was an Elven Dual-Warrior, this time is an Elven R-Rogue. Next will me a Human Mage, but dunno what kind of specials I'll put on him.

Re: Gamers' Lounge
Drain Life and Winters touch at the very beginning.
I promise you those spells will be your best of friends.
I got Fireball and Inferno as fast as I could, and I never stopped using them, but try to find specializations for your character early on, so you have time to go up in those specializations. Each one for a mage is actually really awesome.
My suggestion, if you're going to be front rank at all later on is Shape Shifter + Arcane Warrior, because you get a con bonus for both of those specializations, and Arcane Warrior allows you to equip better armor and weapons, with a spell that lets you take the extra mana spent because of fatigue into extra power (Beautiful with Drain Life)
Spirit Healer is also a great specialization, with Cleansing Aura that removes even injuries if they are close enough to you, and mana/stamina and health regeneration skyrockets.
As for other spells, look at them and play with them. You only get a limited number of them, so if you take it and you don't like it, that sucks. So think them out carefully. As a mage, if you don't like what you're casting, you're going to die fast. Before you even choose your first, read everything and plan ahead.

Re: Gamers' Lounge
I got Dragon Age for Christmas, along with a 360. I've been playing a Dalish Elven Rogue, but then I put it down for a bit to play Tales of Vesperia. Now I have three games (Persona 4 from before Christmas) started that keep my mind occupied even when I'm not playing.
And I'll take that advice on the mages. I'm not normally the kind of person who plays a mage, but I want to try out all the openings for DA:O. I kinda wish I had another mage where I am now though. Going into the Vale with only one mage in my party? I don't think so.

Once you get Morrigan, you'll be pretty happy. Do yourself a favor and recruit Wynne (Pronounced Win).
She's a spirit healer and, well, you get the idea.
And for rogues (As, I think you've figured out already) DEFT HANDS!
