Re: James Cameron's Avatar
Fuck yea. I loved that shit mang. Haha, no really, I did enjoy it a lot. I do agree with some critics that the storyline was a bit cliche and was sort of masked by the new species but still, I loved it also. My eyes were having fits of orgasmic candy gorging the entire time. It was an incredible experience and made me wish it lasted longer. James Cameron raised the bar with CGI in America though. I'm glad he waited until the technology was ripe enough to do a movie he probably dreamed about for years.
Some people say the characters looked awkward but I don't know if they took into account that they were basically made-up, not exactly based on anything it seems other than "humanoid" and that they are near or twice the height of humans.
I won't lie. At first (after seeing trailers) I was questioning how good the movie will be and its CGI capabilities. I also thought that the Na'vi were just hideous looking but they really grew on me fast (more so than say District 9's, "Prawns"). I'm glad the trailer was partly deceiving. I walked out liking the movie a lot more. It wasn't just all action but diving into the culture too.

Re: James Cameron's Avatar
i thought it was an absolutely beautiful film, and was very well done - asides from it being a bit too long for me
the story made me think of princess mononoke combined with fern gully that used rip offs of a halo vehicle and starcraft goliath
but i really did enjoy it
DESPITE THE FACT that i was frontfrontfronttt row of the fuckin imax theater in 3d, my eyes still hurt

LMAO.
I have to agree with you on this one.
I didn't want it to end to be honest. I could've watched it all night if there was more.
Which is crazy because it was a three hour movie.
Ync, I totally thought of Ferngully too xD Someone else mentioned Atlantis.
Of course, I don't really care, I liked both of those movies >_>
Despite still knowing that Jake was going to be all hippie in the end, all the scenes were brilliant.
AND MECHS. OMFG THEY HAD MECHS. I dunno, for me, when I saw the mechs I was like "Alrightly, new favorite movie." lol

Awesomeawesomeawesome.
Pandora was so vibrant and brilliant with originality. The story was definitely a bit cliché and a bit too fast (which I suppose is understandable considering how long the movie already was), but I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless.

Re: James Cameron's Avatar
You know what? Avatar just soared past the $1 billion mark in terms of revenue worldwide. Awesome? I think so. Let's hope the sequels James Cameron is thinking of making will be equally good. But... I'll leave my expectations low just in case.
Re: James Cameron's Avatar
lol, anything when it mentions sequel, I keep my expectations really low. I'm usually never disappointed xD
Oh, this actually killed me.
Don't look at if you're hyper sensitive towards negative things about Avatar....>_>
